MINDFULNESS-BASED SELF-CARE ONLINE SESSIONS
2nd and 4th Thursday of each month
This beneficial 45-60 minute program will be hosted online via Zoom at 12:00noon on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month, hosted by instructor Kari Lyons-Price. Kari will lead and teach body-mind awareness practices to assist our Wellness Place cancer warriors, survivors, and their caregivers or families.
Mindfulness practices involve focused attention, regulated breathing, and developing a nonjudgmental awareness of one’s thoughts and feelings to empower participants to take an active role in the management of their health and wellness. Each session will have time for practice, and time for participants to share and connect as desired.
What to expect:
Learn techniques and meaningful self-care strategies to cope with stress and pain.
Activate your body’s natural relaxation response, turning off “fight-flight” reactivity.
Re-establish resilience, balance, and a sense of well-being.
Investigate the healing power of compassion in your life.

Kari Lyons-Price holds a BA in Psychology and a Master of Social Work, and specializes in mindfulness based services. As a health and wellness facilitator and educator, Kari’s mission is to teach and guide personal and organizational growth and healing, as well as to inspire and support all and meeting the pains and challenges of our lives.
